Privacy Policy
Welcome to pawtrck. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you share with us about yourself and your pets. This Privacy Policy explains what information pawtrck collects, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the pawtrck mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create or use a pawtrck account, we collect information such as your email address, authentication identifiers, and sign-in provider information. Authentication is handled through Supabase. We do not store your plain-text password.
1.2 Pet Profile Information
To provide pet tracking and care features, we store information you choose to enter about your pet, including name, breed, birth date, weight, sex, size, activity level, main focus, allergies, diagnoses, and profile photo if you add one.
1.3 Pet Care, Health, Diet, and Training Records
pawtrck stores pet care information you enter or generate in the app, including meal and treat logs, calorie information, weight logs, medication records, vaccination records, symptom logs, vet visit records, training plans, command progress, and vet-ready export data.
1.4 Activity and Exercise Data
When you use exercise tracking, pawtrck may process activity information such as exercise type, duration, distance, pawsteps, timestamps, and related exercise history. If you enable location-based exercise tracking, location data may be used while tracking is active, including in the background when an active exercise session is running.
1.5 Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, pawtrck may request access to device permissions such as:
- Location, for active exercise tracking and weather-related insights.
- Notifications, for reminders you choose to enable.
- Camera and Photos, for adding or updating pet profile photos.
You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings.
1.6 Notification Information
If you enable reminders, pawtrck may store notification preferences, reminder times, and push notification tokens so reminders can be scheduled or delivered.
1.7 Subscription Information
pawtrck Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed with RevenueCat. We may receive subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, renewal or expiration information, and related purchase metadata. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
1.8 Advertising and Free Version Experience
pawtrck may show ads or promotional messages to users of the free version. We may use non-sensitive app context, such as the feature area where an ad is shown or cooldown limits, to control how often ads appear. pawtrck Plus is intended to provide an ad-free experience. If pawtrck uses a third-party advertising network in the future, this Privacy Policy and App Store privacy disclosures will be updated as needed.
1.9 Technical and Server Information
We may process basic technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as server logs, request metadata, error information, device/platform information, and app version. This helps us maintain reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and provide support.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your pawtrck account.
- Store and sync pet profiles, health records, diet logs, exercise history, and training progress.
- Provide reminders and notification features you enable.
- Generate charts, trends, summaries, and vet-ready reports.
- Provide weather-related insights for exercise features.
- Manage pawtrck Plus access and subscription status.
- Improve reliability, security, and user support.
- Prevent misuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
pawtrck does not sell your personal or pet data to third-party data brokers.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
pawtrck uses trusted third-party providers to operate the app, website, and related services:
- Supabase: Authentication, database, storage, and backend data services.
- Railway: Backend/API hosting and infrastructure.
- Cloudflare: Website delivery, security, DNS/CDN, and related infrastructure.
- RevenueCat: Subscription entitlement management and purchase status syncing.
- Apple App Store: In-app purchases, billing, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds.
- Expo: Push notification infrastructure and app platform tooling.
- WeatherAPI: Weather-related data used for exercise and environmental insights.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to pawtrck. Their own privacy practices may also apply.
4. Location Data
pawtrck only uses location data when you choose to use features that require it, such as active exercise tracking or location-based weather. Location tracking is intended to run only during an active exercise session. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings, but some exercise tracking features may not work correctly without it.
5. Photos and Camera
If you choose to add a pet profile photo, pawtrck may request access to your camera or photo library. We use this access only for the action you request, such as taking or selecting a pet photo.
6. Notifications
pawtrck may ask for notification permission when you enable reminder-based features, such as meal reminders, medication reminders, appointment reminders, exercise nudges, or training nudges. You can change notification permissions through your device settings.
7. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your information while your account is active or as needed to provide pawtrck services. You can delete your account from the app settings. When you delete your account, your pawtrck account and associated pet data are removed from our active systems.
Some limited information may remain for a short period in backups, logs, fraud prevention, security records, or where required by law. Deleting your pawtrck account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed through Apple.
8. Children's Privacy
pawtrck is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Your Choices
You can:
- Update or delete pet records inside the app.
- Manage device permissions from your device settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID/App Store settings.
- Delete your account from pawtrck settings.
- Contact us with privacy questions or requests.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
